The unintentional fossils we leave behind are plastic. With such a long time to degrade even in the best conditions the plastic of today will stay for a very long time. Future generations will look to it as something that represents our time on earth.
The comic is inspired by the "Friendly Floatees" incident in 1992 when a cargo ship accidentally dropped 28 800 bath toys into the ocean.
